D’Andra Simmons was born in beauty obsessed Texas, with a tube of lipstick in her hand just in case there was a beauty pageant happening nearby! D’Andra, a seasoned beauty professional and a self-proclaimed cosmetic and skin care junkie, is a 5th generation Dallasite and a 6th generation Texan. She is an official cast member on the Real Housewives of Dallas Season 2. This real-life girl boss is the CEO of Hard Night Good Morning Skin Care and President of Ultimate Living International. D’Andra is married to Jeremy Lock, a photojournalist. She has two step children, Keatin Lock and Koen Lock.
In 2008, D’Andra Simmons founded Hard Night Good Morning™. after having worked as a formulator of nutrition and skin care products for over 15 years. This natural, aloe vera based and antioxidant driven line was created with the finest botanical ingredients and actives to address the visible signs of aging. D’Andra believes in a “nutrition for the skin” approach to taking care of the body’s largest organ. And no one can dispute as her mother Dee says, “Younger is always the best age to look!”
D’Andra Simmons received the “Rising Star” award in 2011 for the beauty category by Fashion Group International for Hard Night Good Morning™.
One of D’Andra’s favorite quotes is, “To much is given, much is required.” She has lived her life by this principle. Feeling the need to give back, D’Andra takes great pleasure in actively supporting numerous charitable organizations in her local and international community. She has served as a volunteer at the helm of some of the biggest charities in Dallas and the world, giving of her time and talent as Chairwoman, Underwriting Chairwoman, Honorary Chairwoman and Committee Chair for annual galas, luncheons and other fundraisers. Currently, she serves as a UNICEF Great Plains Regional Board Member, Friends of Simmons Cancer Center Steering Committee Member and The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Show and Luncheon Chair – 2017, Ryan Anthony Foundation/Baylor Simmons Cancer Center, Cancer Blows Chair – 2017. D’Andra’s passions include Domestic Violence, Cancer, and protecting Children’s Rights at home and abroad.
As a child, D’Andra took a keen interest in the study of languages and developed a love of foreign travel. When she wasn’t in class at Sweet Briar College in Virginia, she could be found somewhere abroad studying in Europe, South America and Asia. Her friends call her Miss United Nations because of the friendships she has cultivated all over the world.
Luckily, D’Andra found her Prince Charming when she met photojournalist, Jeremy Lock, who was dubbed ‘The Chuck Norris of Military Photography” by The Washington Times. Together they continue globetrotting off the beaten path as often as possible, sharing their common interest of adventure, love of food, human interest stories and unique cultural experiences.
Growing up as a child of a successful Manufacturer’s Representative in the fashion industry of couture and designer clothing brands, D’Andra developed a love for the finer things in life, especially beautiful clothes. At the tender age of five, she had seventy-five pairs of shoes for one season and a tiny fashionista was created just in time for kindergarten! Needless to say, D’Andra never wore the same outfit twice, and wore a different dress and matching bow to school each day until her parents moved her to a private school with uniforms. Her ruffled panties were a particular hit on the school playground!
Building on her upbringing, D’Andra started modeling as a teenager and was represented by Kim Dawson and The Campbell Agency in Dallas and McDonald Richards Agency in New York. D’Andra was named the 43-year-old winner of People Magazine’s “Real Beauty at Every Age” Search in 2012, one of the “10 Most Beautiful Women in Dallas in 2008” by D Magazine and named a member of the DIFFA Style Council. She was also honored as a “Fresh Face of Fashion” by Modern Luxury Magazine the same year.
D’Andra continues to be recognized for her trend-setting personal style, and still stands by her aversion to outfit repeaters!
